Eyebrows Microblading
Microblading Including Touch-Up 1750 AED
At Ellyssar Salon in Dubai we have developed a process that is totally individual and personalised to you. We want you to have the best brows you’ve always dreamed of and that are perfect for YOUR face.
Every microblading eyebrow treatment we create for our clients in London is personalised. There is no one size fits all where brows are concerned.During your custom consultation we will establish what you hope to achieve from your eyebrow treatment, we will also get an idea of your makeup routine and lifestyle. A lot of our clients have overplucked eyebrows that in the past were the fashion and now want a fuller eyebrow. We can create subtle to defined and anything in between.
It doesn't matter if you like them arched and feathered or straight and bold, eyebrows are arguably the most important facial feature. If you're not satisfied with the ones you have, there are so many ways to update them, including brow gel, pencils, and even tattooing. But now there's a very natural option that delivers semi-permanent results. Ladies, we'd like to introduce you to microblading. Unlike the sometimes Sharpie-esque effects of permanent makeup, microblading is more of an embroidery of trompe l'œil strokes that look just like real hairs.
Due to the contact with your skin, there can be some redness, but this subsides after a few hours and most clients leave free to continue their day as normal so no need to hide away. A complimentary follow up appointment is included with this treatment at around 4-6 weeks to finalise your enhancement and to make any final adjustments to the area. All that’s left is to enjoy your new eyebrows and say goodbye to the eyebrow pencils and drawing your eyebrows on in the morning because these new brows last up to a whole year! As our treatments are semi permanent, we advise regular maintenance treatments to keep the colour looking fresh. Time between top ups vary for each client but annually is best!
During this time, the best customized shape for every client is chosen. Before the microblading begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize discomfort, followed by a liquid anesthetic. If you're worried that the process is painful. The best part about the technique is that there is no down time. Your new set of brows will be ready for a selfie immediately after the process. The healing process is different for everyone, and it takes between 25 and 30 days. After a month we recommend a 40-minute touch-up to most customers.
Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment that is carried out using a specialised manual hand tool which holds disposable microblades, and implants colour onto the skin.No machines! No needles! The whole process takes around an hour and a half so within no time at all we’ve completed your new eyebrows!
Our goal is to create a beautiful eyebrow that matches the symmetry of your face and looks very natural. We’ll then have you make different facial expressions to make sure the brows look perfect laughing, smiling, eyes open or closed. A lot of clients ask, “Does it hurt?” The answer is: no, I would say more uncomfortable. Some clients describe the feeling as scratchy and others like slight pressure, some even fall asleep! A topical numbing cream is applied to the area prior to the treatment taking place to minimise any discomfort! Whatever the feeling, you leave the clinic with the most amazing eyebrows, so it’s all worth it in the end!
With the anesthetic applied, we begin microblading! This takes around 30 minutes. Each individual hairstroke is drawn onto to skin by hand, matching the direction of your natural hair. The stokes are drawn to mimic actual hairs creating a 3D effect and ultra realist looking semi permanent makeup enhancement which we’re sure you will love!
Microblading is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill-in over plucked brows.
If you're still not sure how the technique differs from tattooing, Afanaseva explained that "during the microblading process we use a special microblading pen to draw on individual strokes one by one." It's an extremely meticulous process that takes around two hours to complete. Since the results will last for up to three years before beginning to fade it's good to know that the technicians pay so much attention to detail. "The first hour we’re drawing the shape in with removable pencil. That’s the longest part and the most important step

What is Microblading?
Microblading, also referred to as Eyebrow Embroidery, Feather Stroke Brows, 3D Brows, or micropigmentation, is the process of manually implanting color pigment beneath the surface of the skin by means of tiny, sterile, disposable needles to produce the appearance of hair strokes, makeup, and to naturally enhance features of the face.
Do my existing eyebrows need to be shaved off?
Most definitely NOT! Please do not tweeze, thread, wax or modify your eyebrows in any way for as long as possible, and no sooner than two weeks. The beginning of your service includes a brief consultation, followed by shaping and finally a discussion about color. Your regular brow maintenance of tweezing, threading, waxing and/or tinting may continue once the brows have healed.
Does it hurt?
Everyone has a different level of sensitivity. An anesthetic is applied for numbing during the procedure to alleviate discomfort. Every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the duration of the procedure. Clients are usually pleased to discover that it is no more painful than having your eyebrows tweezed or threaded.
PLEASE NOTE: Having this service performed during your menstrual cycle may increase discomfort during your procedure.
* If you are a frequent smoker, the topical anesthetics used during the treatment will not last as long.
* If you have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, be aware that this may affect your sensitivity tolerance to the procedure.
How long is the healing process?
It is normal to experience minimal swelling and tenderness following your procedure. It doesn’t take very long (2-4 hours) for it to disappear. Immediately following your treatment the pigment will appear darker than how it will appear once it has healed.
Around week 2, the surface color naturally exfoliates to leave a softer color. During week 3 & 4 when the skin completes healing, you will see the pigment darken a bit. A Touch-Up visit approximately 4-6 weeks after your initial appointment is necessary in order to achieve that richness of color and density in the shape.
How old do I have to be to get Microbalding?
You must be 18 years or older to receive Microblading.
Can I do Microblading if I am pregnant or nursing?
NO! you can't
How long does Microblading last?
It last 6-12 months some cases more or less depends on skin type and lifestyle. The pigment will fade over time and we recommend to get a touch up 6-8 months to keep them looking their best. There is no guarantee in how long it lasts as each individuals skin will respond differently. You should take into consideration that different skin types also factor into results. Excessively oily skin, larger pores, thicker skin and eyebrow keratosis can affect the absorption of the pigment.
In some cases the body totally absorbs the ink, and the semi-permanent tattoo totally disappears. In other cases, because of a variety of factors, including body chemistry, medication, or sun exposure, the pigment embroidery might even change color
Frequency of touch-ups depends on a number of factors including: skin type, pigment selection, lifestyle (sun exposure), iron deficiency (your body absorbs iron-oxide as a supplement), chemical peels, etc.
Please note that final results can not be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. We will re-evaluate how your skin has received the pigment at your touch-up appointment and make any changes necessary.
You may expect thick brows, but it might take a few appointments before you reach your ideal brows. You should keep in mind that microblading is a two-step process and it is not permanent, and you shouldn’t expect to see full results after only one treatment.
How many treatments are needed?
For microblading, at least two appointments are needed initially, at least 4-6 weeks apart. At the second treatment, we will assess the color retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. If your eyebrows does not heal perfectly the first time, do not worry! We can always go bolder and add more density at your next appointment.
What factors will affect Microblading?
-Sun exposure
-The choice of pigment color: Some colors may fade quicker than others, e.g. a blonde pigment may fade quicker than a dark brunette pigment.
-Bleeding during the procedure: Any bleeding during the tattooing procedure will reduce the amount of pigment absorption. Caffeine, alcohol, and certain medications act as blood-thinners and should avoided 24 hours prior to your appointment.
What should I do after the procedure?
Post procedure care includes eyebrow care several days after the procedure (pigment duration 80% depends on aftercare and skin type). 10 days after the procedure sun exposure, sauna, solarium, swimming pool, gym should be avoided and makeup around the eyebrows especially powder is not allowed.
It is highly beneficial to follow these instructions to ensure a comfortable healing process and to achieve the best possible results. We do our 50% to give you a beautiful procedure. While you are responsible for the other 50% with your aftercare.
What should I know about long term care?
-The color will lighten over time. We recommend an annual touch up to keep brows looking their best. Fading greatly depends on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, pigment color used, broken capillaries, iron deficiency, and if any chemical peels were done after your procedure.
-If you are planning a chemical peel, MRI or other medical procedure, please inform the technician that you have had an iron-oxide cosmetic tattoo. Careful application must be taken to avoid affecting the tattooed area.
* If you are planning to have laser treatments, tell your laser specialist to avoid the pigmented area. Laser may cause pigment to turn black.
Will Microblading work well for me?
-If you have extremely oily skin, the microblading technique may NOT work well for you. The constant production of oil will cause the hairstrokes to heal with a diffused, softer look. Your end result will look more powdered instead of a crisp hair stroke appearance.
-If you are a frequent smoker, your pigment will fade sooner.
-If you are iron deficient or Anemic, your pigment will fade sooner and bleeding/bruising may occur during and after the procedure.
Microblading Pre-Care
-NO alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before procedure (Yes, there is caffeine in decaf coffee and tea!).
-Avoid sun and tanning at least 2days prior to procedure.
-Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 24 hours before procedure.
-Avoid Fish Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, and "Hair, Skin, Nail" supplements 24 hours prior to procedure.
-Refrain from use of any Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products close to the eyebrow area 2 weeks prior to and 2 weeks after your procedure.
-Waxing treatments should be performed no less than 2 days prior to your enhancement.
-No brow tinting one week before.
* Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your period.
Microblading After-Care
Careful aftercare is very important for producing a beautiful and lasting result
-It’s important not to get the brows wet during the healing process (7 days).
-7 days is a safe estimate for healing process, however, individual results may vary.
-Use after care cream for 7 days.
-NO TANNING, SWIMMING, SUNA, STEAM ROOM, SWEATING (GYM,RUNNING OR ANY ACTIVITIES MAKE YOU SWEAT)
DAY ONE (Day one of treatment):
You must rinse your eyebrows with clean water on every hour after the microblading procedure, followed by the post-care cream. Apply the post-care cream with a cotton swab, and use non aggressive movements and/or manipulation of the skin. Wash your hands with a disinfectant soap before washing your eyebrows and/or applying the after care cream.
DAY TWO - NINE:
Either leave dry (recommended for oily skin) or apply the after care cream with a cotton swab without using aggressive movement and/or manipulation of the skin. Wash your hands with a disinfectant soap prior to washing your eyebrows and/or applying the post care cream.
Before showering, apply a layer of post-care cream to protect your eyebrows from moisture. During the shower, keep your face away from the showerhead.
Itching and flaking may appear during the first seven days post-microblading procedure. However, experience has shown that by following these after-care instructions, these symptoms may quickly disappear. The healing of deeper wounds might last between 14 - 21 days. Touch-ups and/or correction of the shape-design is recommended only after this period.
Never touch the procedure area without washing your hands immediately before.
-Do not scrub, rub or pick at the epithelial crust that forms. Allow it to flake off by itself. If it is removed before it is ready, the pigment underneath could be pulled out.
-Do not use any makeup on the brows before the healing process is complete.
After the healing is complete, you may go back to your regular cleansing and makeup routine. Avoid scrubbing the area. Use sun block after the procedure area is healed to protect from sun fading and avoid exfoliating products on the actual microbladed brow.
SLEEPING: The first thing to consider is your first couple of nights sleep. Do not lay directly on your brows. In other words, try as much as possible to sleep only on your back the first few nights. Also, sleep with your hair pulled up. Avoid your hair touching your brows, as hair often times has bacteria in it that you do not want on your brows.
After 14 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading. (At least SPF 30, if not 50)
Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 2 weeks after your procedure.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN INFECTIONS, PIGMENT LOSS OR DISCOLORATION.
What is normal?
-Mild swelling, itching, light scabbing, light bruising and dry tightness. Aftercare cream work well for scabbing and tightness.
-Too dark and slightly uneven appearance. After 2-7 days the darkness will fade, and once any swelling dissipates unevenness usually disappears. If it is too dark or still a bit uneven after 4 weeks then we will make adjustments during the touch up appointment.
-Color change or color loss. As the procedure area heals, the color will lighten and sometimes seem to disappear in places. This can all be addressed during the touch up appointment which is why touch up is necessary.
-The procedure area has to heal completely before we can address any concerns. Total, complete healing takes about four weeks.
Caution: If the skin around the eyebrows experiences any rash or small pimples, this is usually a reaction to the numbing solution and should go away by itself in a couple weeks. Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 and up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly.
You can now enjoy your beautiful new eyebrows! You will simply love your new, gorgeous, fresh look!
